Kuwait City, Kuwait, March 6, 2022: The new edition of the Olympic Council of Asia’s official newsletter, Sporting Asia, is now ready for download at www.ocasia.org.
The latest Sporting Asia, for March 2022, is devoted to the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing from February 4-20, when the Chinese capital became the first city in Olympic history to host both the Olympic Games, in 2008, and the Winter Olympics.
In this 48-page edition, there are 16 pages from Beijing, including an Asian Roll of Honour for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, a look at all 18 Asian NOCs taking part in the Winter Games, and a special focus on the Winter Olympics debutants from the OCA, Saudi Arabia.
The Winter Olympics coverage is packed with action photographs capturing the excitement of winter sports, as well as facts and figures from Asia’s NOCs and from the Games in general.
There is also a report on the 139th IOC Session in Beijing, where Mumbai, India was awarded the IOC Session in 2023.
The new Sporting Asia includes all the regular features, such as six pages of NOC News in Pictures, six pages on the preparations for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, four pages devoted to Women in Sport, Inside the OCA, OCA Games Update, News in Brief and the OCA Sports Diary.
The OCA launched Sporting Asia in 2009 and this new edition is the 56th in the series of the quarterly publication.
