Top NOC officials praise Nepal Olympians Association for conducting skills development programme

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 2, 2022: Forty Olympians took part in a two-day Skills Development Training programme organised by the Nepal Olympians Association last week.

Nilendra Raj Shrestha, Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee, who was the chief guest at the opening ceremony, praised the Nepal Olympians Association, headed by Deepak Bista, for taking the initiative to conduct such a programme.

Shrestha said such training programmes would help build confidence in athletes and boost their personality.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Chaturananda Rajvaidya, executive director and Vice President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, assured the Nepal Olympians Association that the NOC would continue to support events like this and encouraged the body to carry on the good work.

The two-day Skills Development Training was focused around three key areas – yoga and meditation, public speaking and sports psychology.

Deepak Bista, President of the Nepal Olympians Association, thanked all stakeholders in the programme for making it an unqualified success.
