Asian NOC flagbearers for Beijing 2022 opening ceremony

Beijing, China, February 4, 2022: The International Olympic Committee published a list of flagbearers for the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on Friday evening.

The IOC is encouraging National Olympic Committees to select a female and a male flagbearer when possible to promote gender equality.

Here are the 18 Asian NOCs and their flagbearers for the parade of athletes in the Bird’s Nest:

China: Gao Tingyu (Speed Skating) and Zhao Dan (Skeleton)

Chinese Taipei: Ho Ping-Jui (Alpine Skiing) and Huang Yu Ting (Speed Skating)

Hong Kong, China: Sidney K Chu (Short Track Speed Skating)

India: Arif Mohd Khan (Alpine Skiing)

Islamic Rep. of Iran: Atefeh Ahmadi (Alpine Skiing) and Hossein Saveh Shemshaki (Alpine Skiing)

Japan: Go Arisa  (Speed Skating) and Watabe Akito (Nordic Combined)

Kazakhstan: Yekaterina Aidova (Speed Skating) and Abzal Azhgaliyev (Short Track Speed Skating)

Kyrgyzstan: Maksim Gordeev (Alpine Skiing)

Lebanon: Cesar Arnouk (Alpine Skiing) and Manon Ouaiss (Alpine Skiing)

Malaysia: Aruwin Salehhuddin (Alpine Skiing) and Jeffrey Webb (Alpine Skiing)

Mongolia: Ariunsanaa Enkhtuul  (Cross-Country Skiing) and Batmunkh Achbadrakh (Cross-Country Skiing)

Pakistan: Muhammad Karim (Alpine Skiing)

Philippines: Asa Miller (Alpine Skiing)

Republic of Korea: Kim A-lang (Short Track Speed Skating) and Kwak Yoon-gy (Short Track Speed Skating)

Saudi Arabia: Fayik Abdi (Alpine Skiing)
