Tehran, Iran, January 22, 2022: The President of the World Taekwondo Federation, Choue Chungwon, has sent a letter congratulating Hadi Saei Bonehkohal on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Taekwondo Federation.
“You have had an amazing career – from being one of the bona fide superstar athletes of taekwondo to being the President of one of the most successful countries in our sport," he wrote.
“I believe that taekwondo in Iran under your leadership will blossom. In addition to success on the mat, I look forward to success off the mat by working closely with you on promoting technical and social developmental activities through taekwondo.
“Thank you for your continued passion and support for our beloved sport and for World Taekwondo,” Choue added.
Hadi Saei, 45, was elected President of the Iran Taekwondo Federation on January 5. He is the most successful and celebrated Iranian athlete, having won two gold medals and a bronze at the Olympics, plus two World Championship titles.
