Singapore, January 18, 2022: The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022 has arrived in Singapore.
Ms Lim Heem Wei, the newly-appointed Chef de Mission to Team Singapore for the Commonwealth Games this July, welcomed the Queen’s Baton at Jewel Changi Airport on Monday, January 17 and toured some Singapore landmarks via open top bus.
She was joined by her Assistant Chef de Mission, Mr Amirudin Jamal, and gymnast Terry Tay.
The Queen’s Baton will travel across the island on a three-day tour before it departs for Malaysia on January 20.
The baton arrived in Singapore following a tour of South Asia.
