Baghdad, Iraq, January 6, 2022: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Raad Hammoudi, conducted the first Executive Office meeting of the year on Tuesday, January 4.
The executive members reviewed the decisions of the previous meeting and discussed the follow-up and implementation of the resolutions.
They also reviewed the successful participation of the NOC in the Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and in the Arab NOCs meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The NOC’s partnerships and mutual cooperation agreements with a number of sports bodies and organisations were also discussed, particularly the arrangement with the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a planned return journey to Tehran by the Iraq NOC President and delegation.
The executive also heard plans to set up a sports marketing department and the steps taken in this regard by the NOC Secretary General, Haitham Abdulhameed, and also reviewed preparations of the national sports associations for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from September 10-25.
