Taipei, December 30, 2021: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee has reflected on a busy year, despite the pandemic, and the highlight was the 11th International Sports Affairs Training Course.

The course, which is a long-term sports education programme hosted by CTOC, was held in cooperation with the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education and took place from June 30 to July 30.

Embracing new technology and digital learning, the course used an online education platform to engage 44 participants from 16 National Olympic Committees including Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and Indonesia.

From the previous 10 editions, more than 600 ISATC alumni have graduated and joined in international sports affairs.

CTOC President Hong-Dow Lin said the CTOC would continue cultivating sports administrators and inspiring people who had a passion for sport by hosting this training course.

This year’s course covered several major topics such as sports diplomacy and politics, current trends in global sport and international sports marketing and focused on the IOC’s Olympic Agenda 2020+5 roadmap.

On the basis of 15 recommendations, participants exchanged opinions on how to achieve these goals practically and enhanced international sports affairs through group discussion and presentation.
