Kyrgyz Republic NOC introduces new Secretary General

Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, December 16, 2021: The National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that former volleyball player Kylychbek Sarbagishev has been elected NOC Secretary General.

The move follows the election on December 10 of Sadyr Mamytov as NOC President for the new Olympic cycle through to 2024.

The new Secretary General is 43 years old and specialises in international relations and law. 

Sarbagishev was awarded Master of Sports in volleyball in 1997 and was named best volleyball player of the country in 2009. In 2017 he received a Certificate of Merit from the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

He is Secretary General of the Kyrgyzstan Volleyball Federation and Acting Secretary General of the Central Zone Volleyball Association of the Asian Volleyball Confederation.
