Lausanne, Switzerland, December 15, 2021: The International Skating Union has announced the list of entries and participating teams for the figure skating team event at the Beijing Winter Olympics next February.

The team event format is based on a competition consisting of up to 10 best national teams from NOCs. Each team is comprised of six skaters – one man, one woman, one pair and one ice dance couple.

Only athletes that are already qualified for the individual events are eligible to participate in the team event, with the exception of the additional athlete quota of up to five skaters to be used as a priority for the host country quotas allocation if needed.

Russia, USA and Canada top the list for Beijing 2022, followed by Japan, China, Italy, Germany, Georgia, Czech Republic and Ukraine.

Canada won the team event gold at PyeongChang 2018, followed by Olympic Athletes from Russia with silver and the United States with bronze.

The Beijing Winter Olympics will run from February 4-20, 2022.
