Hangzhou 2022 opens Asian Games press accreditation system

Hangzhou, China, November 29, 2021: The organising committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games (HAGOC) has announced that the press accreditation process is now open.

HAGOC issued the first edition of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Press Accreditation Guide on Friday, November 26 and said accreditation would close on April 10.

The deadline for HAGOC and responsible organisations to confirm the details and data on the accreditation forms is April 30, and the pre-valid accreditation cards will be distributed from June 10.

The pre-valid cards must be validated on arrival in Hangzhou, and the HAGOC accreditation card will be valid for multiple entries into China from August 11 to October 10.

“We are delighted to inform you that Press Accreditation for Hangzhou 2022 has officially started in November and applications will be closed by 10 April, 2022,” HAGOC said in a circular to the Olympic Council of Asia and National Olympic Committees.

“Here is the first edition of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Press Accreditation Guide. This guide is intended to help you to understand the press accreditation process for Hangzhou 2022. 

“HAGOC will update this guide over time to reflect the build-up and developments of Hangzhou 2022 preparations and we will keep you posted for further updates.”

HAGOC added that the responsible organisations should collect individual information and photographs from the applicants within the territory of each press organisation. In addition, there are two submission methods: Online Application (for individuals) and Online Application (Bulk Upload). 

“We recommend downloading the Sample File in the Accreditation System and issue to press organisations to collect information.”

The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang province in eastern China, from September 10-25, 2022.

There will be 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 482 events in 55 competition venues and 5 million tickets available.
