Dushanbe, Tajikistan, November 29, 2021: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan held an Olympic Solidarity development programme for young athletes in the cities of Khujand, Tursunzoda, Bokhtar and Kulob last week.
A total of 80 young athletes from these cities participated in the programme from November 20-24 and were briefed on various topics in the Olympic movement including the Olympic Games, the Youth Olympic Games, the support from the Government for these Games, doping control, the latest rules of competition, and modern trends in training.
The aim of the Tajikistan NOC was to help unearth young talent as well as give the young athletes an opportunity to improve their sport skills and prepare them for the next Youth Olympic Games to be held in 2026 in Dakar, Senegal.
At the end of the programme, the young athletes were awarded certificates by the Tajikistan NOC.
