Dushanbe, Tajikistan, November 3, 2021: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, in collaboration with Olympic Solidarity, held a seven-day technical course for handball coaches from October 25-31. The closing ceremony was held at the NOC headquarters in Dushanbe.
An expert from the International Handball Federation, Igor Shestakov from Belarus, taught 15 local coaches registered with the Handball Federation of Tajikistan the intricacies of handball through theoretical and practical lessons.
On the last day, NOC Secretary General Abdullozoda Muhammadsho made a report on anti-doping. In particular, it was noted that coaches made a significant contribution to the prevention of the use of prohibited substances and methods in sports because they were the ones who recommended the use of vitamins and medications to athletes.
The sport of handball has been developing in the country for the last three years, and the technical course has allowed coaches to strengthen their field knowledge and to train skilled athletes.
Participants of the technical course were awarded certificates of the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, as well as certificates of the International Handball Federation.
