Baghdad, Iraq, November 3, 2021: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Mr Raad Hammoudi, welcomed the President of Mustansiriyah University, Professor Hameed Fadhil Al-Temimi, to his office on November 1
The NOC President said he was very keen to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and to develop sports and education in Iraq.
Al-Temimi said he was honoured to visit the NOC offices and to meet with the President, whom he had known well as a star goalkeeper for the national football team.
Al-Temimi said that the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/Mustansiriyah University was one of the active colleges in producing advanced educational sports staff and had great scientific and sports contributions.
He also praised the Physical Education Department/College of Basic Education/ Mustansiriyah University.
Hammoudi expressed the NOC’s desire to sign a joint cooperation agreement between the two institutions. At the end of the meeting, Hammoudi presented Al-Temimi with the shield of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee in appreciation of his visit and in appreciation of his interest in the sport of his country
