Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 22, 2019: The 17th Olympic Council of Malaysia-Tan Sri Alex Lee Charity Golf day was organised on Thursday, November 21 at the Saujana Golf and Country Club, Subang, with the participation of 108 golfers in 27 teams. HRH Tunku Imran (Hon. Life President of OCM and IOC Honorary Member), Dato’ Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria (President of OCM) and Dato’ Thomas Lee (Chairman of the OCM-Tan Sri Alex Lee Athletes’ Education Fund) presented the scholarships to the following national athletes: New Scholarships: 1. Ms. Shereen Samson Vallabouy (Athletics) 2. Mr. Chew Yiwei (Diving) 3. Ms. Rozliana Mohd Ridwan (Rugby) 4. Ms. Low Wee Nee (Squash) 5. Mr. Calvin Lee Wai Leong (Wushu) Continuing Scholarships: 1. Mr. Syed Adam Emir Putra Syed Aidi Putra (Fencing) 2. Ms. Gan Hua Wei (Synchronised Swimming) 3. Mr. Julian Yee Zhi-Jie (Ice Skating) 4. Mr. Muhammad Azwan Zuwairi Mat Azizi (Rugby) 5. Ms. Tai Chi Qian (Basketball) 6. Mr. Chiew Chern Kwang (Water Polo) 7. Ms. Lim Yin Fun (Badminton) 8. Ms. Lee Zii Yii (Badminton) 9. Mr. Puvendren Subramaniam (Squash) 10. Ms. Kelie Kan Kah Yan (Golf) This year, the Charity Golf raised approximately RM 217,050 for the OCM-Tan Sri Alex Lee Athletes’ Education Fund. The entry fee alone raised RM 98,250 while the auction sales of collectable sports memorabilia raised RM 118,800.
