Tajikistan NOC holds Olympic Solidarity course for sports administrators in Sughd Region

Dushanbe, Tajikistan, October 12, 2021: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan conducted a three-day training course for sports administrators in the Sughd Region last week.

The NOC initiative from October 6-8 in the capital Khujand was held in conjunction with the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity programme and was attended by representatives of sports organisations and schools in the Sughd Region.

Sports experts and officials from the NOC conducted the course, which was broken down into a number of separate topics, including Leadership of the Olympic Movement, Sports Games, Support for Athletes, Olympic Values, Management of Sports Organisations, Leadership Principles, Fight against Doping among others.

Participants were briefed about the progress the Tajikistan NOC has made under the leadership of the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, who is also the President of the NOC.

The support of the government enabling athletes to train under state-of-the-art conditions so that they could bring honour to Tajikistan in the international arena was also underlined at the three-day course.

All participants were awarded certificates from the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
