The launch of the National Compliance Platform comes in the light of Qatar’s commitment as a signatory member to the Copenhagen Declaration, the WADA Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Convention against Doping in Sport.
The QADC Executive Director Nasser Saad said that violations of the WADA Code transcended national borders and affected all national institutions.
“The international community argued for all the stakeholders and signatory members to develop suitable mechanisms to unite national efforts and to organise doping-free sports competitions,” executive director Saad said.
The meeting focused on the National Compliance Platform and reviewed the history, objectives and achievements of the QADC.
