Male, Maldives, September 9, 2021: The Maldives Olympic Committee has hosted an advanced sports management course with six participants receiving diplomas on Wednesday, September 8.
The President of the Maldives Olympic Committee, Mohamed Abdul Sattar, awarded the diplomas to the successful participants at a small ceremony held at the NOC offices.
The advanced sports management course, an educational initiative by the International Olympic Committee through Olympic Solidarity and the Maldives Olympic Committee, is a professional diploma course offered globally in IOC member countries.
It started in late 2018 with the course officially concluded in 2020 with the six participants completing the one-year programme.
The course was designed for staff and volunteers from national federations and other bodies responsible for sports development in the Maldives, and the participants were drawn from senior management and those who hold responsibility for managing projects within their organisation.
