Asia’s NOCs display enthusiasm for Hangzhou 2022

Hangzhou, China, August 21, 2021: Asia’s National Olympic Committees are showing their enthusiasm and excitement for the 19th Asian Games - even with over one year to go.

The NOC Services and Relations Department of organising committee HAGOC has sent official letters to the NOCs inviting them to attend the next Asian Games, to be held from September 10-25, 2022 in Hangzhou – capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China.

The letters were accompanied by gift packages, including the three mascots, pens, pins and other attractive merchandise, and the NOCs were asked to share on social media the receipt of the invitation letter.

“With concerted efforts, our invitation packages have reached more than 25 NOCs in two weeks,” HAGOC reported on Friday, August 20.

“Upon receiving the packages, we encourage NOCs to provide a photo/short video with the Invitation Letter and Mascots, with which we will later produce a promotional video for Hangzhou 2022 one-year countdown celebrations.

“We have already received photos/videos from some of our NOC friends including Macau China, Iraq, Kuwait, Mongolia, Maldives and Uzbekistan, and we sincerely appreciate your efforts in promoting Hangzhou 2022 on your NOC Social Media.”

In a circular to the NOCs, HAGOC also sent a guide to taking and uploading photos and videos to share with their colleagues around the continent.

The official invitation letter and merchandise package is part of the one-year countdown celebrations being organised by HAGOC on and around September 10 – the day of the opening ceremony in 2022.
