Iraq NOC plans for Hangzhou 2022, Paris 2024

Baghdad, Iraq, August 18, 2021: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Raad Hamoudi, is coordinating plans for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The NOC of Iraq reports that the President met with members of the executive office and sports federations to formulate the strategy for the Asian Games and Olympic Games.

Hamoudi heard the insights and plans of the executive office members and representatives of the federations on the upcoming Olympic entries.

Hamoudi said that all efforts would be made by the NOC to support the federations and athletes in order to produce good results at Hangzhou 2022 and Paris 2024.

The NOC President said the preparation project would be undertaken systematically in stages in cooperation with the federations.

A further meeting will be held next week to discuss in detail the projects of the federations and their requirements with regard to Hangzhou 2022 and Paris 2024.

The President stressed that only with detailed planning and preparation could good results be achieved.

Sports represented at the meeting included taekwondo, archery, karate, weightlifting and canoe.
