New Delhi, India, July 31, 2021: The Bhutan Olympic Committee reports that the athletes who took part in the Olympic Games were felicitated at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi on a stopover on their way home from Tokyo to Thimphu.
“Ambassador Vetsop Namgyel welcomed the members of our Olympic Team at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi yesterday (Friday),” the Bhutan Olympic Committee posted.
“He congratulated the team members and the coaches for their hard work and for representing Bhutan well at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.”
Bhutan took part in archery, shooting, judo and swimming, with their place in women’s archery representing the first time any athlete in any sport from Bhutan had qualified directly for the Olympic Games.
