Tokyo, Japan, July 22, 2021: Nepal’s teenage swimmer Gaurika Singh has posted an effusive appreciation on her Facebook page on the hospitality she and the rest of the swimming team received at a training camp in Tokushima Prefecture.

“Thank you for the warm welcome and training opportunity at Tokushima Prefecture,” wrote the 18-year-old Singh. “I thank everyone who came and gave us such a warm welcome.”

Singh and fellow swimmer Alex Shah have been in a training camp in Tokushima Prefecture for the past two weeks.

Singh, who won four gold medals at the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu, joined the team from England where she is based.

They are now in the Olympic Village.

Singh and Shah will be the flag bearers on behalf of Nepal's five-strong team at the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 23.
