QOC launches ‘We Are Team Qatar’ campaign for Tokyo Olympics

Doha, Qatar, July 7, 2021: The Qatar Olympic Committee launched its promotional campaign on Tuesday, July 6 to support the country’s star athletes ahead of their participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The theme of the campaign is “We Are Team Qatar”, a phrase that represents the pride and unity of Team Qatar to unite the country behind the team from all demographics.

Qatar will be represented by 15 athletes in seven sports, including two female athletes in athletics and rowing.

Team Qatar roster includes: Mutaz Barshim, Abderrahman Samba, Abubaker Hayder, Abdirahman Saeed Hassan, Musab Adam, Femi Ogunode and Ashraf Amgad El-Seify (athletics), Mohamed Al Rumaihi (shooting), Fares Ibrahim (weightlifting), Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan (beach volleyball), Ayoub Al Idrisi (judo) and Abdulaziz Al Obaidly (swimming).

The two female athletes are Bashayer Almanwari (athletics) and Tala Abu-Jubara, the first Qatari in rowing at the Olympic Games.
