Kathmandu, Nepal, June 29, 2021: Nepal Olympic Committee signed a sponsorship Memorandum of Understanding with Kamaru Trading on Friday, June 25.
According to the MOU, Kamaru, the official seller of Kelmi in Nepal, will sponsor all the uniforms for Nepali athletes, coaches and officials participating in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
The MOU was signed by NOC President Hon. Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Kamaru director Mr. Pradip Neupane.
President Shrestha stressed the need for cooperation and partnership between Nepali sports and the private sector and expressed confidence that the contract of Kamaru would be long-term.
Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya, Vice President and Executive Director of the NOC, said that the contract of Kamaru was just the beginning.
Kamaru's Director Mr. Neupane said he was happy to sponsor the uniforms of the team participating in the Tokyo Olympics.
Mr. Gopal Kakshapati, a member of the NOC and Coordinator of the Marketing and Sponsor Committee, stressed the need to increase such sponsorship for the development of Nepali sports.
NOC Secretary General Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha and Secretary Deepak Harsh Bajracharya were also present on the occasion.

*Daraz, the leading online marketplace in Nepal and part of IOC partner Alibaba Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NOC in a collaborative effort to promote Tokyo 2020 and the athletes who will represent Nepal.
The MOU was signed by Hon. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, NOC President, and Mr. Lino Ahlering, Managing Director, Daraz, in a ceremony connected to Olympic Day 2021 at NOC HQ organised by the NOC Sports for All Commission.
The partnership aims to strengthen and promote the cooperation between Daraz and the NOC leading up to Tokyo 2020 and further seeks to increase the visibility and the promotion of the Olympic Games as well as the Nepali athletes.
