Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 27, 2021: The Asian Kickboxing Confederation reports that a fruitful meeting took place between the Kuwait Kickboxing Committee and the Kuwait Olympic Committee at the KOC HQ on June 21.
The Kuwait Kickboxing Committee was represented by the Chairman, Mr. Abdulaziz Alfadagh, and the Secretary General, Mr. Ali Hussain, while the KOC was represented by the President, His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, and by Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, KOC executive member.
The KOC congratulated Mr. Ali Hussain on his recent election as a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation during the last AKC General Assembly on March 7, 2021.
The topics discussed included the development of kickboxing in Kuwait and the preparation of athletes, particularly for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand scheduled for March 2022.
Sheikh Fahad confirmed the support of the KOC for the Kuwait Kickboxing Committee and its executives and gave his best wishes to Mr. Ali Hussain for his work with the Asian Kickboxing Confederation.
Mr. Ali Hussain presented a trophy to Sheikh Fahad and to Sheikh Mubarak in gratitude of the KOC support for kickboxing.
KKC Chairman Mr. Abdulaziz Alfadagh said: “On behalf of the members of the Kuwait Kickboxing Committee, I thank the President and executives of Kuwait Olympic Committee for their continued support.
“We are proud of the accomplished work of our athletes and we strongly believe in their success at the upcoming 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.”
Mr. Ali Husain added: “As a Board member of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, I understand how well structured and serious the Asian Kickboxing Confederation is. This explains the huge success since 2007 when kickboxing was presented for the first time at the 2nd Asian Indoor Games in Macau.”
