Phnom Penh, Cambodia, June 25, 2021: Cambodia’s Asian Games jet ski hero, Saly Ou Moeut, will be seeking further glory for the Kingdom in the Jet Ski World Series 2021.

The Cambodia SEA Games 2023 Organising Committee (CAMSOC) reports that Saly Ou Moeut will join the series in three continents over the next seven months.

First up is the Poland leg from July 21-25, followed by the United States from October 6-10 and the final round in Thailand from January 12-16, 2022.

The 29-year-old Cambodian speedster won Asian Games gold in men’s ski modified at Jakarta in 2018 and added a bronze in the runabout 1100 stock event.

He is training in Thailand for the Jet Ski World Series and will head for Europe on July 4 to collect his new jet ski in Austria and complete his preparations for Poland.

Despite the short period of time to train with his new jet ski, only two weeks, he feels his experience and technique will give him a good start in Poland and enable him to build on this in the remaining two legs in the United States and Thailand.

Saly Ou Moeut is one of only three Cambodian athletes to win a gold medal at the Asian Games, and the first male, along with gold medals in taekwondo in 2014 and jujitsu in 2018.
