Qatar and Hungary NOCs review bilateral sports cooperation

Doha, Qatar, June 16, 2021: The Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buenain, met the President of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, Krisztian Kulcsar in Budapest on Monday, June 14.

During the meeting, the QOC Secretary General extended the greetings of the QOC President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani to his Hungarian counterpart. The two officials reviewed bilateral sport cooperation between the two organisations and ways of strengthening them in the future.

The meeting was also attended by Balint Vekassy, Secretary General of the Hungarian Olympic Committee.

The QOC Secretary General was visiting the Hungarian capital to attend the World Judo Championships which concluded on Sunday. The judo showpiece brought together 661 athletes from 118 countries.

Qatar will host the next World Judo Championships in 2023. It will be a qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
