Seoul, Korea, June 9, 2021: Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) signed an official sponsorship agreement for 1 million face masks at the Olympic Culture Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul on Tuesday, June 8. The agreement was signed by KSOC Secretary General Cho Yongman and Paulmade Co. Ltd CEO Lee Wonil.
The KSOC is the first among 206 National Olympic Committees to select a sponsor in the face mask category. This is in line with Korea's K-Quarantine policy and giving priority to the safety of its national athletes.
Paulmade will provide 1 million face masks to athletes of Team Korea participating in the Olympics, Asian Games and World University Games through 2024. The face masks are all certified by the Ministry of Food & Drug Safety and will be branded with the intellectual property of the KSOC, such as the KSOC logo, Team Korea logo and mascot ‘Dali’.
KSOC Secretary General Cho said: “I greatly appreciate the generous support from Paulmade to allow Team Korea to participate in the Games safely. I hope this is an opportunity for everyone to unite and cheer for a safe and competitive future.”
Paulmade CEO Lee added: “We are very pleased to have been selected as the official sponsor of the KSOC. We are proud to contribute to the safety of the national team and unite the Korean people to show support for our athletes.”
Paulmade Co. Ltd, as a face mask manufacturer, has been awarded the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award on the occasion of the National Safety Day for its contribution to K-quarantine and donating masks to the various public institutions during the Covid-19 crisis last year.
Together with its official sponsor Paulmade, the KSOC is also planning to carry out various marketing activities for Team Korea.
