Bhutan NOC receives 3,000 masks from Hong Kong-based Lockill

Thimphu, Bhutan, June 7, 2021: The Bhutan Olympic Committee has said a big “thank you” to Lockill Bio Chemical Ltd. for providing 3,000 masks to athletes and officials in the sports community.

Lockill is a mask manufacturer based in Hong Kong, China and has sponsored 3,000 custom-designed, reusable masks to the BOC. The antibacterial mask can be worn while practising sports and are reusable and washable for at least 20 times. 

The sponsored masks were distributed to the athletes, coaches and officials of the National Sports Federations (NSFs), Sports Associations (SAs) and Dzongkhag Sports Associations (DSAs), with a priority for the athletes and coaches travelling to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“We are honored to sponsor masks for the Bhutanese athletes, officials and coaches for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. We hope that our products can support in safeguarding the athletes during the games,” the company said.

The BOC hopes that all athletes, coaches and officials at the NSFs, SAs and DSAs are following and implementing all health and safety measures put in place by the Ministry of Health.

Your kind gesture will go a long way in safeguarding our athletes and officials during these uncertain times,” said the Secretary General, BOC

Bhutan will be represented by athletes in archery, swimming and shooting at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
