Lahore, Pakistan, June 5, 2021: The Pakistan Olympic Association reports that the first meeting of the Olympic Day 2021 Celebration Organising Committee was held on Friday, June 4 at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore.
The meeting was chaired by Ibrahim Hasan Murad, Chairman of the POA Education Commission and Chairman of the Olympic Day 2021 Celebration Organising Committee.
As directed by the POA President, Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan, and respecting the Standard Operating Procedures of Covid-19, the following activities have been planned:
• 2nd POA painting competition, to be launched on POA social media on June 7
• Workshop on Olympic Movement/Olympism at University of Management and Technology, Lahore on Olympic Day - June 23
• Table tennis exhibition competition at Bagh-e-Jinnah (Lawrence Garden), Lahore on June 23
• Short documentary on Pakistan Olympic Museum, to be launched on POA social media on June 23
• Tree planting by star athletes/medalists/Olympians at UMT Lahore on June 23, at Nagarparkar, Tharparkar on June 25 and at Karachi on June 27-28
• Olympic Day Run and archery exhibition competition at Nagarparkar, Tharparkar on June 25
• Sea cleaning at Karachi on June 27
• Beach cleaning at Karachi on June 28.
