Pyongyang, DPR Korea, November 25, 2019: The Korean Central News Agency in Pyongyang reports that a shooting and archery contest for disabled athletes was held at the Meari Shooting Gallery on November 17 and November 24 as well as competitions for amateurs aged over 17. The events for disabled athletes included the 50-meter rifle and 15-meter archery; in the amateur category there were events in men's 25-meter pistol and 20-meter archery and women's 50-meter rifle and 15-meter archery. “The players presented a wonderful performance by showing movements that require skilled techniques including correct posture and aiming,” reported KCNA. In other news from DPRK: The 23rd National Exhibition of Sports Scientific and Technological Achievements took place in Pyongyang. On display were programmes, sports goods, measuring instruments, sports medicines and nutrients and books and papers on sports science and technology presented by hundreds of units across the country. Korea University of Physical Education invented a basketball training instrument aimed at developing high offensive skills. The Sports Science Institute under the Academy of Sports Science and Kim Chaek University of Technology presented an aid programme for measuring the reaction speed of wrestlers. Jong Yong Hwa, a player of the April 25 Sports Team, told KCNA that the new training instruments would be very helpful to athletes.
