Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 13, 2021: The latest edition of Sri Lanka NOC’s weekly news bulletin, “GoodSport”, celebrates the journey of showjumper Mathilda Karlsson to Tokyo 2020.
Mathilda, born in Sri Lanka and raised in Sweden, will take part in the equestrian event at the Olympic Games after winning an appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport over a qualifying dispute with the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).
The 65th edition of “GoodSport” includes a link to an interview with Mathilda, who is based in Hamburg, Germany, as well as a three-page interview.
When asked how she felt about the situation finally being resolved, Mathilda, 37, replied: “I am so happy. It was a bumpy road – a hard way to go – but I am so happy to have it done now. I am so looking forward to representing Sri Lanka at the Olympics.”
