Thimphu, Bhutan, May 4, 2021: The Bhutan Olympic Committee reports that Ms. Pema Zangmo, Assistant Programme Officer at the Bhutan Archery Federation, has taken over the role of Member Secretary of the Athletes’ Commission of Bhutan.
“We would like to welcome Ms. Pema Zangmo as the new Member Secretary of the Athletes’ Commission of Bhutan,” the commission posted on Tuesday, May 4.
The commission also thanked Mr. Sangay Tempa for his work in the role. He served as Member Secretary from 2017 to 2021 and will continue to work with the commission as an honorary member.
The International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia and National Olympic Committees around the world are building up the profile of athletes’ commissions/committees and encouraging their input in decision-making in all important aspects of the Olympic movement.
