Hangzhou 2022 signs up New Oriental as education service for 19th Asian Games

Beijing, China, April 29, 2021: The Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC) has signed a sponsorship agreement with XDF.CN (New Oriental Education and Technology Group) as the official online education service for the 19th Asian Games.

The signing ceremony took place in Beijing on Thursday, April 29, and marked the latest development in HAGOC’s marketing programme on the road to the Asian Games in September 2022.

New Oriental, which was founded in 1993, will provide online education and training and, through the Asian Games, will engage students and young people in promoting the Olympic spirit and building a sports culture.

Chen Weiqiang, Deputy Secretary General of HAGOC and Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, said that New Oriental was a leader in China’s education and training industry and that their “pursuit of excellence and challenging the limit” inspired students to achieve their dreams. This was also in keeping with the harmony and spirit of the Asian Games.

Mao Genhong, Deputy Secretary General of HAGOC and of Hangzhou Municipal Government, signed the contract on behalf of Hangzhou 2022 along with Yang Zhihui, Executive President and Chief Financial Officer of New Oriental Education and Technology Group.
