Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 26, 2021: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka has successfully conducted its first Olympic Solidarity Sports Administrators Course in 2021.
The four-day course held online was attended by around 30 participants from various National Sports Federations, schools, universities, the Ministry of Education and the Armed Forces.
The course was facilitated by the National Course Directors of Sri Lanka NOC, Mr. B.L.H. Perera, Captain Nalin de Silva and Ms. Olivia Gamage; as well as provisional National Course Directors Gen. Dampath Fernando, Rear Admiral Shermal Fernando and Mr. Gobinath Sivarajah.
The course was conducted while strictly respecting COVID-19 guidelines with participants online throughout with multiple sessions over four days.
The Sri Lanka NOC holds regular courses for sports administrators with the previous one being held in September 2020 also conducted on a virtual basis due to the pandemic.
