Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 23, 2021: Malaysia’s Chef de Mission for the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Vietnam this November conducted briefings with presidents, secretaries and other officials from 10 national sports associations on Wednesday, April 21.
This was the third round of discussions with leaders of national sports associations to assess their preparations and also their requirements for the 11-nation regional sports festival due to take place in Hanoi and neighbouring cities and provinces from November 21 to December 2, 2021.
The Olympic Council of Malaysia has appointed Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin as their SEA Games Chef de Mission in charge of the delegation.
The officials came from the following 10 national sports associations: tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, wushu, canoe, chess, dance sport, muaythai, judo and swimming/diving. Some of the discussions were held online.
Overall, the 11 sports, including swimming and diving, have provided a lot of medals for Malaysia in past SEA Games.
“I hope all national athletes who are undergoing training at the moment, especially those gold medalists at previous SEA Games from taekwondo, wushu, chess, muaythai, swimming and diving, will train hard to repeat their achievements at this coming SEA Games,” said Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin.
