Kathmandu, Nepal, April 22, 2021: The Secretary General of Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha, bade farewell to members of the Nepal Fencing Association participating in the Asia-Oceania Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from April 24-26.
Nepal is sending epee fencer Ms. Anita Karki and her coach Mr. Janga Giri in the hope of winning an Olympic place at Tokyo 2020.
Secretary General Shrestha gave his best wishes to the athlete and coach and said that the participants should feel pride in their achievement in representing the country.
The send-off ceremony was also attended by NOC Vice Presidents Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya and Mr. Sunil Shrestha, Nepal Fencing Association Vice President Ms. Helga Rana Rayamajhi and Nepal Fencing Association Secretary General Mr. Sujan Lal Shrestha.
