Bhutan Olympic Committee renews partnership agreement with Drukair

Thimphu, Bhutan, April 22, 2021: Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines will continue to be the official carrier of the Bhutan Olympic Committee after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties on Wednesday, April 21.

Drukair Corporation Ltd. (DCL) and the Bhutan Olympic Committee have been in partnership since 2016 when the first MOU was signed. It has now been renewed for a further two-and-a-half years.

The MOU was signed by the Officiating Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the Chief Executive Officer of Drukair at a simple ceremony at the BOC headquarters.

The MOU includes discounted airfare and excess baggage waiver for all official travels of athletes and officials. Besides branding and marketing rights, DCL will now have free access to the Bhutan Olympic Committee Astroturf Football Ground at Paro, once a week.

Apart from the travel benefits for BOC, Drukair intends to aid and give its fullest support to enhance sporting culture in the Himalayan Kingdom.
