Shantou, China, April 19, 2021: The organising committee of the OCA’s 3rd Asian Youth Games in Shantou, China this November has opened its third official merchandise store.

The new outlet is located in Qunguang Square of Shantou – a port city in Guangdong province – and almost 100 licensed products of Shantou 2021 are available to purchase for the first time.

These licensed products, including the mascot Jinfengwa based on the official flower of the city, key chains, pin badges and attractive sports apparel, showcase the flawless integration between the vitality of the AYG and the charm and creativity of Shantou. 

The goods also promote sportsmanship and demonstrate the human spirit and cultural heritage of Shantou and highlight the status of Shantou as a special economic zone.

This is the third Shantou 2021 Asian Youth Games official merchandise store to be opened. The Shantou Executive Committee of the 3rd Asian Youth Games now plans to set up 20 more such official merchandise stores in the near future and share these licensed products with residents and tourists.

At present, the second batch of licensed commodity production enterprises have been approved. Wider product categories are going into production covering stationery, office supplies, Chaoshan-themed regional artworks and ceramics, among others.

The 3rd AYG will run from November 20-28, 2021 and feature 18 sports, 21 disciplines and 161 events. The sports venues and athletes’ village are expected to be completed by June.
