Kabul, Afghanistan, March 25, 2021: The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee’s President and Secretary General met with the Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan in Kabul on Wednesday, March 24.
The NOC President, Dr. Hafizullah Wali Rahimi, and the Secretary General, Dr. Yonus Popalzay, welcomed the Turkish Ambassador, Oğuzhan Ertuğrul, to discuss the preparations and participation of Afghan athletes in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Konya 2021.
The Turkish Ambassador pledged Turkey's full support for Afghanistan and the athletes who will participate in the event, which is scheduled to be hosted by Turkey on September 10-19, 2021.
The Islamic Solidarity Games are organised by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation and the fifth edition is expecting 6,000 athletes from 54 nations.
