Kazakhstan NOC looks for Olympic sartorial splendour from homegrown designers

Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, October 30, 2019: The National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan has announced an open competition for the design of uniforms for its national team at both the opening and closing ceremonies at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

“We want not only to get a memorable and functional outfit for our Olympians, but also to support talented artists and designers. Together we are looking forward to finding new trends in modern sportswear, as well as to draw attention to the Olympic movement in Kazakhstan,” the NOC said in a statement.

Applications for the contest opened on October 14 and will end on November 14. All received work will be published on the official website of the Kazakhstan NOC and social networks, where fans will be able to leave their feedback.

The results of the contest will be announced on November 23.
