Seoul, Korea, March 24, 2021: The Korean Sport and Olympic Committee has launched a new marketing campaign to secure official sponsors for a four-year period.
Following on from their successful partnership renewal with the Youngone Outdoor Corporation on March 17 – a deal that will supply the iconic North Face brand to Team Korea athletes – the KSOC is seeking more official sponsors.
The categories will be in three key areas - official partner, official sponsor and official supplier - and the agreements will run through to December 31, 2024.
These are exciting times for the Olympic sports movement particularly in east Asia, with the Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer, the Winter Olympics in Beijing next February and the 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, Korea in 2024.
Gangwon 2024 will be the first Winter YOG to be held in Asia and will use the venues from the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in 2018, with the snow competitions in the mountains of PyeongChang and the ice competitions in the Olympic Park at Gangneung.
The KSOC and Team Korea will enjoy a high profile in the next four years and will offer wide-scale brand exposure for official sponsors as well as enabling their partners to play a role in developing the sports movement in Korea.
The Youngone Outdoor Corporation, well known as The North Face, participated in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics as an official partner in the sports apparel category. They have supported Team Korea throughout international competitions such as the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
