Bahrain NOC Secretary General praises strong links with Korea

Manama, Bahrain, March 22, 2021: The Bahrain Olympic Committee Secretary General Mohammed Hasan Al Nusuf has praised the strong links between Bahrain and South Korea on the occasion of the visit by the Korean Consul to the Kingdom, Ms. Kim Eun-young, to the NOC’s headquarters in Saif on Sunday, March 21.

Welcoming Ms. Kim, Secretary General Al Nusuf said close bilateral relations across all fields had brought the two countries together, and called for enhanced cooperation and sharing of experiences in the sports field.

Al Nusuf also expressed great confidence in Korea’s ability to host the 15th ANOC General Assembly in Seoul on October 26-27. The General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees had been postponed from last year due to the pandemic.

Korean Consul Kim, in turn, said she admired the way in which the Kingdom of Bahrain had tackled the COVID-19 pandemic saying the response had been “advanced” ranked on an international scale.

She said due to precautionary measures being taken early, Bahrain was ready to participate in July’s Tokyo Olympics with the safety of all its athletes assured.

Kim also praised the efforts of the Bahrain NOC President, HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, to elevate sports in the Kingdom to achieving outstanding results at all levels.
