Manama, Bahrain, March 5, 2021: The President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, represented His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa at the final of the King’s Cup football tournament at Bahrain National Stadium on Thursday, March 4.
Al Riffa beat Al Ahli 2-0 to be crowned King’s Cup champions and HH Sheikh Khalid presented the trophy and medals to the victorious team.
HH Sheikh Khalid conveyed the greetings and congratulations of King Hamad to the players and officials and thanked His Majesty for his strong support of the sports sector in Bahrain. He said this support contributed greatly to the development of athletes and to the success of Bahrain on the international sports stage.
HH Sheikh Khalid also thanked His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, for elevating the level of sport in the Kingdom.
