Seoul, Korea, March 19, 2021: The Korean Sport and Olympic Committee (KSOC) has signed an official partnership agreement with Youngone Outdoor Corporation (YOC, aka The North Face) in the sports apparel category of Team Korea.
The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 17 at the Olympic Culture Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The agreement was signed by KSOC President Lee Kee-heung and YOC Chairman and CEO Sung Ki-hak.
Accordingly, YOC will provide sports clothing to the national team (Team Korea) participating in international competitions such as the Olympics and the Asian Games until the end of 2024.
They will also design uniforms for national athletes in the winter and summer seasons. In addition, they will have the right to develop sports apparel that utilizes the intellectual property of the KSOC such as the emblem of the KSOC and its mascot Dali.
YOC, well known as The North Face, participated in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics as an official partner in the sports apparel category. They have supported Team Korea throughout international competitions such as the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
KSOC President Lee said: “I am pleased to extend the official sponsorship contract with Youngone Outdoor Corporation following the successful hosting of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. With this partnership, Team Korea will be able to show their best skills on the stage of international competitions.”
YOC Chairman and CEO Sung added: “Through the unique know-how and technological innovation accumulated by Youngone Outdoor Corporation, we will continue to help Team Korea to walk with more confidence, run faster and challenge further when they train and compete. They have my full support.”
