Colorado, United States, March 17, 2021: China's Eileen Gu Ailing ended the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freeski and Snowboard World Championships with her third medal of the meet at Aspen, Colorado on Tuesday, March 16.

The 17-year-old double Winter Youth Olympic Games champion took the bronze medal in the freeski big air competition to add to the two gold medals in halfpipe and slopestyle earlier in the week.

The two gold medals and one bronze at the world championships replicated her medal haul at the Winter X Games in Aspen six weeks ago, and followed her two gold and one silver at the Winter YOG for China at Lausanne 2020.

Anastasia Tatalina of the Russian Ski Federation pocketed big air gold with a combined score of 184.50 points from two jumps; Tatalina's compatriot Lana Prusakova took the silver with 165.50 and Gu settled for bronze with 161.50.

Gu will be a big gold medal hope for China at the Beijing Winter Olympics next February after her dazzling form over the past two seasons.

In the women’s snowboard big air event at Aspen, Japan’s Miyabi Onitsuka took bronze.
