Kabul, Afghanistan, March 10, 2021: The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee held a ceremony to award female coaches as part of their International Women’s Day celebrations.
The event was attended by NOC President Dr. Hafizullah Wali Rahimi and by Member of Parliament Robina Jalali, Vice President, NOC Women’s Division, and President of the Afghanistan Athletics Federation, as well as other leading sports officials.
The leadership of the National Olympic Committee praised the best female coaches from the national sports associations and planted seedlings on the sidelines of the gathering for the environment.
The extensive celebrations to mark International Women’s Day in Afghanistan included a cycling event, handball, badminton, Muay Thai and basketball as well as the presentation to coaches and seedling-planting activity.
