Manila, Philippines, March 8, 2021: The Philippine Olympic Committee Women in Sports Commission and Philippine Olympic Committee will hold its first ever three-day online conference on leadership for women in Philippine sports.
The online conference, entitled “Among Us: Celebrating Women Leaders in Sports”, will be held on March 20, March 23 and March 27 via the Zoom application.
Registration is open from March 7-14 and the conference is targeting the National Sports Associations affiliated to the POC, with only one female representative per NSA admitted to take part.
The POC Women in Sport Commission says: “This is not your ordinary conference where you remain passive recipients. Here, you are an active agent for change towards your vision for yourself, your sport, and the larger Philippines sports community.
“You will be engaged in a 3-day conference that aims for participants to propose projects to address leadership challenges for women in sports. You will undergo a design thinking workshop, run by expert consultants, that will serve as a guiding framework for your project design.”
