Sport climbing federation reschedules events in China, Korea, Indonesia

Torino, Italy, March 8, 2021: The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) has postponed the two IFSC World Cup competitions scheduled for May in Wujiang, China and Seoul, Korea to October due to travel restrictions.

The decision was made in accordance with the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the Korean Alpine Federation, the IFSC announced March 4. The IFSC has also rescheduled the IFSC World Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The updated schedule of the three World Cup stages is as follows:

*IFSC Boulder and Speed World Cup in Seoul (KOR): October 1-3

*IFSC Boulder and Speed World Cup in Wujiang (CHN): October 22-24

*IFSC Speed World Cup in Jakarta (INA): October 30-31

The IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup in the United States and the IFSC World Cup in Xiamen, China, will both be held as previously scheduled:

*IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup in the United States: October 9-10

*IFSC World Cup in Xiamen, China: October 15-17
