Bhutan Olympic Committee promotes clean sport

Thimphu, Bhutan, December 13, 2020: The Bhutan Olympic Committee in collaboration with the Bhutan Anti-Doping Committee held an orientation workshop on the new rules and regulations on Saturday, December 12.

The mission of the Bhutan Anti-Doping Committee is primarily to promote clean sport, protect the health of the athletes, uphold the integrity of sport and maintain fair play at all levels.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Bhutan Olympic Committee and National Sports Federations and Sports Associations on Saturday promoting doping free sports and to enhance channels of communication with all stakeholders.

With the consent of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Bhutan Anti-Doping Committee was formed under the Bhutan Olympic Committee in 2011 with the main role of looking after the anti-doping programme in the country.
