Kuwait City, Kuwait, October 29, 2020: The Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Mr. Husain Al Musallam, has welcomed the first edition of the official magazine of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee.
Entitled Hangzhou 2022, the magazine was launched this month and will be produced quarterly on the road to the 19th Asian Games, which will run from September 10-25, 2022.
Writing a message of congratulations in the first edition, Mr Al Musallam says: “Hangzhou 2022 can create excellent content for readers around the world, especially those from our 45 National Olympic Committees from Asia and 17 National Olympic Committees from Oceania.
“I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to those who have made it happen and my best wishes for the great success of Hangzhou 2022.”
From his visits to Hangzhou, which is the capital city of Zhejiang province in eastern China, Mr Al Musallam said he expected a “green, smart, economical and ethical” Asian Games in 2022.
“This is not the end for a city like Hangzhou with millions of citizens,” he says. “All the good results can benefit the Hangzhou community and society.”
The magazine contains 102 pages of text, photographs and illustrations and is in Chinese and English.
The contents include a brief outline of the 53 competition venues and five Asian Games villages and many other aspects of preparations.
